To Be Happy All The Time
What if there was a secret sign,
A doorway through the weight of time,
Where every shadow turned to light,
And wrongs all found a way to right?
To be happy all the time,
Every mountain easy to climb,
Would the heart still know what’s true,
Without the storms I walked with you?
If joy was always mine…
Would I still remember the climb?
Would love still feel divine…
To be happy all the time.
What if the tears all disappeared,
And every voice was crystal clear?
No broken nights, no dreams that fade,
Just endless sunlight, unafraid.
To be happy all the time,
Every mountain easy to climb,
Would the heart still know what’s true,
Without the storms I walked with you?
If joy was always mine…
Would I still remember the climb?
Would love still feel divine…
To be happy all the time.
Maybe sorrow shapes the song,
Teaches right from teaching wrong.
Maybe heartache is the key,
That opens love’s eternity.
To be happy all the time,
Would I lose the reason in rhyme?
Or is the beauty in the fight,
The bitter days that birth the light?
If joy was always mine…
Would I still treasure the climb?
Would love still feel divine…
To be happy all the time.
